Should I wash loose items like apples and tomatoes that I buy from the grocery store?
I would give them a rinse because I don’t know who else has picked them up at the supermarket.
I would give them a rinse because I don’t know who else has picked them up at the supermarket. In regards to people thinking that rinsing a fruit or vegetable is going to change something in regards to the chemicals that are used in production, the chemicals are actually taken up by the roots of the plant and therefore it’s actually just within the plant. By all means rinse fruit if it’s a bit dusty or waxy, but if you pick an apple off the shelf and start eating it, you’re going to be alright.
